Game crash and unable to load savegame

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Bought the game today, installed fine and gameplay was ok.

In the game saving did not seem to work, game remained on saving game.

After a couple of hours the game crashed, logs are attached and I am now unable to load the savegame (also attached)

When selecting load game it just remains on the loading screen and I have to use Alt+F4 to get out of the game.

System is using an Intel i5-3470 (3.20GHz), AMD RX480 8GB, 32GB RAM and 250GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

When typing this post I had another 2 crashes when starting a new game.

Added those dumps as well.

Hope you can help.

Kind regards,

Klaas-Jan

Hey all, these look like access violation errors. So something may be blocking access to parts of the Universim. This is an issue best taken up with support@crytivo.com. He handles technical issues like this.

As the crash issues maybe related to the Spectre/Meltdown patches from June 2018 I have run these commands from an elevated command prompt.

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" /v FeatureSettingsOverride /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" /v FeatureSettingsOverrideMask /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f

System will need to be rebooted after adding those keys.

I will keep you posted on my findings.

Yeah, with the same access violation unfortunately. :( Like I said, support is your best avenue for getting this solved.
