    For the rest of you encountering this bug or reading this thread let me explain the process in which this happens.
    In V.6, say you had two nuggets trying to pick up a wood resource, one nugget would get there first and pick the resource up leaving the other nugget in an endless check loop. In Psuedo code it would look like this:
    Is their a resource pile to pick up
    If yes,
    pick it up
    If no, 
    is their a structure being built requiring resources
    If yes,
    carry resource to the building
    If no,
    etc.
    The text that i've bolded is the bug in the V.6 state. There wasn't actually anything wrong with the code, it just didn't have any additional check sums. Where as in V.7 their was one placed. So it would look something like:
    Is their a resource pile to pick up
    If yes,
    pick it up 
    Did it get picked up
    If yes,
    restart loop
    If no, 
    pathing check
    etc.
    Because of the new buildings their are still currently some issues with the terrain and @socman @ArsouilleSlic or I will ask the devs about this issue although I do think they are aware of this. Also, with your current issue with the nuggets getting stuck on the ground and the mating process, the same loop can apply. From an AI standpoint, the same status is being checked before anything is accomplished. For instance,
    am i starving,
    if yes,
    get food, (method link)
    Is there food (method link)
    If yes,
    go there and eat food (not in a stash)
    If no,
    check starvation later
    if no,
    next check.
    Again, highlighting the issue. I can elaborate more if needed but just know that the development team is aware of the issue and the AI still needs a little tweaking. We do appreciate all your guys feedback and I personally hope that your enjoying the game at its current state @silverorrange

    Yes. After the long starving... they finally can eat and reproduce. ^^
    The Farm was built first. So maybe the farmer wanted it this way. ;-) Short way to work. ;-)

    You can't please everyone KyloRen.  And you don't have to at least in my case.  But I'm happy with the progress of  development over the last months. That's why I try to help and share my opinion about things I found.

    At this point I had no Builders at all (Only CH). Some seasons ago I had 3 EC Builders (Huts) and 4 (2*2) Constructors (CH). Constructors had nothing to do for several seasons (repair only). And only one strong Nugget chopped down all those trees. ;-)
    Sure but the Distributors seem a bit chaotic. The main priority should be the resource stashes. A builder can carry things on his own if a Distributor is busy. Builders and Constructors have to carry things before a DC is built anyway. So why do they "unlearn" to carry materials once a DC is built? ^^ It's a bit funny in my opinion. That's what I wanted to point out.  If a Distributor isn't  busy sure... He or she can carry building materials to building sites... But not when there is cleanig to do. 
    And @KyloRen you should not feel the need to explain me something. Everything is relaxed.  I just wanted to share what I found and thought about it and how it can be optimized in a later build in my opinion.

    Ubuntu 14 has some outdated libraries, so you have 2 solutions:
    1) Make your own bundle using your mono version (but latest recommended) 
    mkbundle --deps --static -z TheUniversimLauncher.exe -o TheUniversimLauncher
    and use your own bundle - it _should_ run without problems.
    2) Use Mono runtime to start executable mono TheUniversimLauncher
     
    Note: this executable, even has .exe extension will NOT run properly on Windows because it was compiled for Linux
     
    Note2: Current build crashes on most Linux distributions when using latest GPUs - this is Unity3D bug, we are waiting for new Unity version. Hope it will be available on Alpha1

    Hello everyone,
    My name is Jared and my beautiful wife Jolee does get on here from time to time to check things out. Speaking of my wife, she is the reason why I have pledged to this game and she is also the reason why I spend a lot of my time bug hunting. I want to be a part of making the best game possible for my wife and I as she is extremely competitive with besting me at video games. 
    As I mentioned earlier this week with all my bug reports, at a very early age I had an interest in virus's and worms. NOT creating them but finding out how they worked and coming up with solutions for them. I am also extremely fascinated with game development (BA in Software Engineering) so understanding how methods are working inside of the game is a talent I naturally have. I do have experience inside Unity. I have done a couple of platformer games which wouldn't gross a penny but it was fun making those kinds of games.
    Professionally, I did 11 years in the United States Military (US ARMY). I have been deployed to Iraq. I did not necessarily agree with the war but you are thrown into situations professionally where you just have to obey.  After the deployment the USPFO (United States Property Fiscal Office) snatched me up and I created automated scripts for their Java based apps which controlled the amount of money that went into the US Treasury. Now, I am happily retired with a newborn son on the way! (July)

    Are you able to replicate the problem: Yes
    Detailed description of the problem: Whenever I make a mistake in game which requires me to restart the game I hit escape and click on "restart". My screen gets stuck on Generating Life. Alt F4 solves this issue :).

    I'm sure we'll do something relating to the moon at some point, but either way, a "night light" so to speak is necessary, as even fancier ambient lighting only is much too flat. As far as having shadows at night, from an art direction standpoint I agree that it would make more sense not to have them for now (as they don't have a definite source), but for our purposes, there's also some good reasons for keeping them: it's better in the long run to design the game and visuals around them being there, and for performance reasons, I think better it's have their impact in the game early and work to improve it including this, rather than get things to an acceptable part later, then add them in and have to dig our way back out of that haha. But that's just my opinion haha.
    As far as the shadows going the wrong way at sunset/rise, that's an issue I've made various steps towards at least improving. The issue is that the lights are two directional lights (both the most accurate simulation of the situation, and the most performance friendly), which means that the light can't "wrap around" the horizon like it tends to here on Earth (because it gets scattered by the atmosphere). So the furthest a light can affect is pretty much the exact halfway point, leading to the other affecting and shadow casting on any beyond that line, even if they seem like they should be affected by the other. One way to fix this would be to slightly offset the rotation so that they stretch over this boundary just enough.
    The attached "illustration" is super simplistic, but I'd like to think it gets the idea across. The dark arrows are the original direction, while the lighter ones are the offset, visually "correct" direction. Haven't tried it in game, but either way, this is the issue we're dealing with, and I thought that by throwing it out there, any possible solutions you guys come up with could be helpful. Cheers!

    Is it really that weird ? I have some experience with unity and coding that goes into games. I'm not nearly efficient in game design as anyone on TheUniversim team. Very early in age i was fascinated with viruses. No i was not the kid that made them, I just liked breaking them whenever a machine was infected. It really is just a weird hobby of mine.
