  1. V0.0.9 late game performance slightly worse

Ok, thanks. I wouldn't spend any effort on this since I'm sure you have other higher priority items. I just thought I'd post my performance experience since you asked for feedback on it. Overall, I'd say Linux performance is very good for pre-alpha. As I said, my graphics card is old, and it has particular problems with shadows. Kerbal Space Program (another Unity game) has major issues when I turn shadow quality up. So the performance decrease I saw could just be from more objects casting shadows over time. (FYI, I turned Universim's shadows to the middle quality before I started playing)
  2. V0.0.9 late game performance slightly worse What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: not sure, only played one really long game Detailed description of the problem: I played for about 5 hours. I noticed the performance got slightly worse around 3 or 4 hours (~45 nuggets). I don't have measurements, but I would say the framerate dropped from say 30FPS to 20FPS. My graphics card is a bit old though. Nvidia GeForce GT 430. So it's hard to say if it's the GPU or CPU getting slower. I may get a new graphics card soon, which should eliminate the GPU as the bottleneck. Is there an FPS display? I would be willing to run a game in gdb or valgrind in the future. Although I think I'll wait for the next patch before doing another long game. Overall the game is rock-solid. I haven't had a single crash in my ~3 hour game or ~5 hour game. top output late in the game If you're interested I get get another top output early in the game. Here's the whole village:
  3. V0.0.9 Zoom to collapsed building broken What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: yes, all event links to collapsed buildings do this Detailed description of the problem: At the end of my game buildings started collapsing. When I click the building link, the camera will just dive down and point at the ground instead of where the collapsed building used to be. I think the final camera location was a bit different for each collapsed building. Maybe it just depends on the initial camera position? Forgot to test this. Here is where the camera zoomed when I clicked the Stone Stash link in the message.
  4. V0.0.9 Zombies at the rock pit What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: probably, need to play a long game to see this Detailed description of the problem: All of these Nuggets are dead. Their status is "Rest in Peace" (forgot to screenshot) But for some reason, when they died, they did not fall over. Instead the corpses are just congregating here and wiggling around a bit. I'm not sure if they all died due to exhaustion carrying rocks at this one location or if the corpses continued to move and stopped here. :'(
  5. V0.0.9 Nuggets walk underground when traveling to Farm on slope What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: only noticed once with this one farm Detailed description of the problem: First, I placed this Farm. I took a screenshot because I was annoyed at how difficult it was to place here. In general, buildings are too picky about being placed in spots that look like they have plenty of room. Anyway, there was one spot where the build was valid, moving the mouse a few pixels in any other direction resulted in a red invalid indicator. After the farm was built, I noticed that Nuggets would walk underground when going to and away from the farm. Though depending on their destination or departure point, sometimes they would walk on the ground correctly. Here's another angle where you can see the slope the farm is on better.
  6. V0.0.9 Pumps cannot be built near or on trees What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: yes, both games I played had this issue Detailed description of the problem: I place a pump, resources are delivered, but the Nuggets refuse to build. I've left these for 10 minutes with plenty of builders, so definitely a bug. They can be aborted. Because the builders are trying to gather wood and a tree is there, my theory is that they can't get to the tree. Here the tree is definitely in the build area and partially in water. This build is also broken, but the tree is outside the build area.
  7. V0.0.9 Nuggets build huts on other objects sometimes. What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: Rare, but I think this happens a few times every game Detailed description of the problem: Sometimes, the Nuggets build huts on other objects. I wasn't watching to see if the distribution center was in progress when the hut was placed.
  8. V0.0.9 Thought symbol is solid white square when drinking What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: yes, both games I played have this issue Detailed description of the problem: Whenever my Nuggets drink, I see a solid white square that fades instead of an icon. Other thought symbols appear correctly. I only see this when Nuggets are drinking.
  9. V0.0.9 Nugget list not clipped by window in Linux What client version you downloaded: Linux Launcher with Ubuntu 16.04, launcher runs The Universim.x86_64 What part of the system was the bug/issue encountered in: game client Are you able to replicate the problem: yes, both games I played have this issue as soon as the number of Nuggets requires scrolling Detailed description of the problem: see picture Also, would be nice if window had more height or was resizeable.
  10. Ubuntu 16.04 Linux still not able to start

Ubuntu 16.04 works for me as well. I just did a fresh install recently rather than upgrading from Ubuntu 15. How many upgrades of Ubuntu have you gone through? Maybe your libraries are messed up due to repeated dist upgrades? Try running Universim off a Ubuntu 16.04 usb stick and see if it works. If it does, reinstall Ubuntu. You're being a bit harsh on the devs. This is "pre-alpha", I could see being worried if it still didn't run at "beta", but have patience. They are under no obligation to have the game running perfectly on every platform until the actual release. You are participating in raw development; you paid to support an idea and help shape development, not for early access to a game before it's been developed, which is impossible. Every other pre-alpha release crashed for me and 0.0.9 is rock-solid, so I'd say that's amazing improvement by the devs. Hopefully your system will work with one of the updates soon.
  11. V0.0.9 Clock Broken

This happens for me as well in Ubuntu Linux 16.04. Universim 0.0.9 Also, the clock rate does not match up with Farming harvest countdowns.
