    I have mentioned these camera issues before as well, and similar to Sabre, I likely won't be playing again until these are resolved. If they are never resolved, then I might play until the medieval era upon game release (which I haven't been able to push my suffering that far yet because of camera), but then the camera controls will get so annoying that I won't want to come back. To be frank, I highly doubt this game can gain much traction if you can't even play it comfortably. The camera is a severe hindrance, and in my opinion should be priority #1 for resolving. The camera is worse than that from games made 10+ years ago. It doesn't matter how awesome the game is if I have to put 90% of my focus on panning the camera. I'll reiterate what Sabre said plus add a few other points: All keys should be re-bindable (which means I should be able to bind rotating to the mouse wheel-pressed event) There should be zoom and pan sensitivity settings The acceleration/deceleration of the camera caused by zooming should be configurable down to 0 acceleration. When I zoom, I do so because I want to set it to a very specific perspective. And the deceleration causes the camera to ALWAYS overshoot. I cannot express how extremely annoying that is. Make zooming either go vertically up and down (as it does now), or (as a configurable option) move towards/away from the mouse cursor. From a human perspective, when you think about zooming, your goal is to zoom into a specific point. That point should be a visible marker on your UI (ie. the mouse cursor). So the current zooming forces you to think about what is directly under your current camera view. This additional step should not be a thought I have to have, and it severely detracts from the gameplay. And I do mean severely. In general, the camera controls in this game can be considered first pass pre-pre-alpha and very out-dated. Please do more than bring it to the dev team.

    Yeah a wiki rework is something we have on the backburner. There's a lot of small text issues, image problems, and wrong icons that we'll probably all fix at the same time once it is a good time for us to do it

    This has been around for a while. It's not a bug. But please turn off the game FORCING research on us or give us the option to turn it off. why? example: I don't use shifts because the game population just wont go high enough for them When shifts is the ONLY thing left to research, the game force researches it for me Why is this bad? because my ministries try to put people in the shift slots! LOL and with out a proper population, that does a LOT of harm Players may want to skip various research items due to bugs, balance problems, or simply for role play

    Build Version: 0.0.31.23618 Severity on a scale of 1-5: 3 Reproduction: Start a game and try to navigate the system menu or try and read a description. OS Tested: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Description: The scaling for The Universim menu system is broken. I have a monitor with the resolution of 3840x1080 and I can't see or do much of anything. The menus are broken in that I can't change the resolution to scale down to a lower format. There is no scroll bar in the menus so I can't see what options I am missing for "Graphics" and "Game." When attempting to use the scroll function on my mouse the menu just bounces back to the middle of the screen.

    This option was added for new players and people who would like to just concentrate on other aspects of the game and they keep forgetting to research things. If you have the issue with shifts, there is an option in the building panel that allows you to turn off them completely for every single building. You have an option also to turn on shifts on a specific building. That should resolve the issue with the shifts. Please, let me know if there are any other major issues that you can think auto research can cause.

    I have had an issue with Nuggets getting stuck on the corner of a mountain next to a lake near my village. They just keep walking into it, and eventually die from dehydration or starvation. If I notice them, I try to move them away, but more eventually get stuck. I even built a watering hole near the spot, and tried to build structures in front of the spot to keep nuggets from getting stuck there, but they continue to get stuck, and die. Not sure if it is a bug, but one really annoying thing is: when the village has grown very large, near the end of the current age limitation, nuggets will die and none of their children will take over as head of the household. Most often they never marry, and then die of old age still in the youngster portion of the household. I can go from a population in the 300's down to 100-120, just because no one is marrying, the youngsters get old an die, and then many homes are just left empty. I try to use the power to put nuggets together to make new families, but it is VERY times consuming. Even after that, my population is not able to grow to more than 140-160, and then it drops again, and trying to put together so many families dwindles down my god points. #1 thing I want right now is automatic placement of oldest (adult) youngster placed into head of household if the two parents die. (This is the decline of doom mentioned by another user) I am also experiencing the missing names when destroying exile village buildings, mentioned by another user.

    The Ultimate Universim Playing Guide V1.0 Ok people , I need you help. On many posts I see in the forums and or Steam Discussions as well as on Discord , that people need help playing the game. Since there are not really any good guides around and I do not want people to browse for themselves on youtube and other media to learn to play the game , I want to start to create a stratagyguide for this game. But for that I need your help. Please reply to this thread if you have any idea's what is needed and if you want to help out. Any help is welcome Please help us to make this game fun to play for the new people as well.. Thank you

    (Touch Screen) Narrator Funny Remarks

    This is little but if you are able to get in contact with that narrator, it would be fun and funny and like an easter egg to make him say some comebacks/remarks at the "Touch" screen. For players, who aren't touching the touch button, if they are a youtuber or twitch streamer saying "what if I don't want too?" or if they are taking to long to touch the touch button for anyone in general. Thought it would add some humor to the game in the intro, really flesh it out and be all organic like.

    Im finding minor bugs with little things. destroying exile homes produces a msg of missing!<loc> something something something.... as well during the enact vengeance mission there is a similar msg in the mission screen after completion and then in the pic I provided in the research screen

    I ran into the issue yesterday where while I was trying to place my civilization, I thought I found a prime spot on the dark side of my planet. It was difficult to see when it was directly on the back of the planet. When the sun is blocked out, that entire hemisphere is difficult to see (lake/rock/mountain locations). It would be nice if the entire planet had a slight light increase at least during the placement of the civilization, that way if I want to place it on the night side of the planet, I can see where I'm placing it.

    I have also had this occur where nearly all my nuggets had frozen in place and would not move. Have not had this re-occur though on my last 2 playthroughs.

    The bugs I have experienced are. 1. Population decline after medieval era once I activate shifts and allow my nuggets to run things, the highest pop I have managed to get is 220 before inevitable decline of doom. 2. My cement factory would not be completed, it was the only thing I had that needed to be built but nuggets would not supply it with refined stone (which I had over 50 of) Not sure if this was related to low pop and nuggets just not having time though but they completed other buildings before it just fine and it was sitting there for hours. 3. Not game-breaking but sometimes research would randomly complete even though it had a few minutes left or was only halfway through. 4. On my first play though 90% my nuggets randomly froze (again in medieval era), haven't had this issue repeat though.

    Creating Quickplay Guide for Universim

    For help with food production. Here are a few tips -Use the different food sources available to you! Don't only place farms or fisheries or hunters huts because you can run out of food between harvests, it doesnt produce large amounts of food and you can kill all the animals on the planet respectively. -Place 1 Farm per place that serves food right beside that place. Your nuggets will then not have to walk very far to get food. -Read the description of each crop! You might accidently plant a bunch of herbs if you dont. -Watch out once you upgrade to taverns! Raw food use is doubled! That is all I have regarding food use and I hope it will help with the guide

    I really love where Universim is going but this is the first release I won't be playing till the end of the content, I just cannot put up with that camera and UI again. 1. Please make it an option to not have the reallly lethargic and slow UI, example: pressing escape brings up the menu, then switching between the menu or exiting the menu has this slow fade in and out. 2. Remove escape from actually brining up the menu, have a clickable button for that, esc is usefull to just press to get back to a default action state with the curser, but if already in that default state you get thrown into the menu(made worse by the issue outlined above) 3. Please have an option to change the bindings for god power (Middle mouse) and the modifier for freelook (right mouse), I can rebind powers but not the modifier. It would be far more condusive having the mouse wheel which controls zoom also control pitch and rotation, most games run this way. I get that the powers are scrolled with mouse wheel, however for me the camera is more important and right clicking then scrolling for the god power would still be perfectly viable and just as easy. Just having that as an option in the bindings would go a long way. 4. THE biggest issue though is how slow the camera is with WASD and the extreme inertia. I get you might going for an imersive 'god like' floaty feeling but it just makes the simple task of looking around a massive chore, keep the camera simple, the crisper the better. Remove or severly reduce the inertia, and make the shift modified camera speed the default, we dont need a modified speed really, fine camera control is easier with the left mouse drag. An editable camera speed would be optimal. Keep up the good work, hopefully I'll give the next release a full play through.

    Also: I was just reading some of the other forum posts, Rudolph commented on another thread with this exact issue, however he seem to have gone into way more detail than I have. His comment might be a lot more helpful than mine as he says pretty much the same as me, except more concise and adds even more information. (Its the one reply on the post, not the post itself.)

    Do you do something special? When the ram usage hits around 8gb I tend to shut the game down and restart it, however, as the game wears on, it it rises back to 8gb ram faster and faster, shortly after I reported the bug I started up my save again, and within 11minutes the ram usage had jumped back up to 8gb. And while I know that any ram not in usage is wasted ram, I'm just not comfortable running any program that goes from the usual 3-4gb ram to 8gb ram within minutes, I always fear something going wrong and giving me bluescreen, thus losing my work and potentially damaging my pc. So yeah, while I have "completed" the game quite a few times at this point (By completed I mean built all the buildings and researched everything), it does annoy me having to give up on a save game I've spent 4-7 consecutive hours on. So if you devs have some sort og trick to forcefully purging the memory, I'd love to know, because I've tried everything, from turning all the graphics to low to hunting down animals and trees and destroying them to lessen the workload. Its gotten to the point where I was tempted to crack open the code and see if I could spot what was going on, but frankly, I doubt I'd be able to understand the code without spending hours reading through it, code commentary doesnt get ported when you release a game on Unity. Either way, I hope you guys will find a way, I've been with you guys since way before Steam even had a page for you guys, and I've enjoyed the game immensely.

Called The Universim.exe.7056.dmp and UnityCrashHandler64.exe.5224.dmp Where to find your save game: Savefile is located at : C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Crytivo Games Inc_\The Universim\Saves Make sure you split the dump into two files of max 5 MB , due the limitation of discord of sending files larger then 8 MB

    I think , that most of this discussion will be over after the next patch. What I belief is what is going to happen is : when you do not built yourself , your goverment decides what the planet needs the most and starts building it themselves.. If so , that would be a very very good thing.

    I agree the whole planet should be lit up with sunlight while you are placing your civ so you can see..
